Common Presentations of True Autumn

True Autumn, like all seasons, has a huge range in terms of what they can look like. These True Autumn celebrity examples are merely a guess, since we can’t know what they would look like in real life with every season tried following proper methodology, however in photos they resemble exemplars I have personally seen. Please keep in mind that any season can present with any hair, skin and eye color.

True Autumn Hair Colors: These can range from darker shades of soft blonde to shades of darker brown. The average natural color is probably medium brunette, with the more defining character being the softness and undertones of golden caramel, bronze or rust. Very dark hair can occur but is less common.

True Autumn Eye Colors: Green and brown eyes are seen most frequently in people with this coloring, however deeper blue eyes with a teal cast are possible. Hazel eyes are common, and eyes often mix brown, green and medium gold. Fully brown eyes do present here, and can create enough contrast to give the impression the person is a winter blend on first glance.

True Autumn Skin tones: Like hair and eyes, True Autumn skin tones range from light to deep, but are most commonly medium. Those who have more contrast between skin, hair and eyes in this season may often be mistaken for winter blends, and those who appear lighter may be taken for spring or summer blends, as the skin does not always present with an obviously warm overtone.

True Autumn Color Dimensions

True Autumn’s predominant color quality is warmth. This doesn’t mean that they must wear only warm shades like yellow and orange, nor that they do not have warmer and cooler choices within a shade (i.e. warmer and cooler pinks), but simply that of all of the palettes other than True Spring, True Autumn people have the least tolerance for coolness in color.

In addition to being warm, True Autumn is also moderately soft. They can balance a range of softer or brighter colors, but overall their best colors tend to lean more soft.

Finally, True Autumn colors are medium-dark. Those with true autumn coloring often believe they may be a winter blend or a darker season, because head to toe pale pastel looks are too light for them. This is true, however normal for the season. It is equally true that they are not at their best in extremely dark shades.

True Autumn Colors

True Autumn’s best colors include all of those that fit withing the color dimensions mentioned above, but specifically include tomato red, coral, pumpkin, mustard, olive, hunter green, teal, periwinkle, grape and burgundy. Please note that color names are subjective and may yield colors not in this palette.

True Autumn’s best neutrals include all of those that fit within the color dimensions mentioned above, but include warm charcoal, marine navy, sienna, army green, green-grey, cognac, khaki, soft olive, warm beige and parchment. Please note that color names are subjective and may yield colors not in this palette.

True Autumn Makeup

True Autumn has a wide array of apricot, terracotta, rust and red-orange lipsticks to choose from. Medium dark shades of peach, terracotta and tomato red are among the most successful choices.
