How long will it take me to fix my wardrobe?

For most women, a year is a good benchmark.

This allows you to take the time to purchase only the right things if and when you find them, and to test out wearing what you have through all the seasons of the year and see how it’s working and troubleshoot (with my help) if needed.

But there’s more to it than that. Learning the skill of building a wardrobe takes time, but if you do it now, you will always know how to do it. So when you get older, move to another state, change jobs, have changes to your body, etc. you will know how to curate a wardrobe that works for you not just now, but when things inevitably change.

How often is new content added?

I’m constantly coming up with new ideas to help you create your ideal wardrobe and learn how to be your own master stylist for the rest of your life.

The most exciting thing to me is that the society gives me a baseline of students. Society members are the front line. They get to try out new things and they are my priority when I offer those new things.

Not only will new things be added, but you’ll also help me figure out what new things we need.

Who is The Society of Extraordinary Style for?

The Society of Extraordinary Style is for any woman anywhere in the world, who wants to play an active role in learning about their body type and developing their own individual style at an affordable entry point.

Whether you have had a personal color analysis, attended a style workshop, read one of my books, or never worked on your style ever. The society is for all of you. And it works together to lift one another up and build confidence in your wardrobe and style.

Will the Society be a fit for me if I’m plus sized?

The methods I use involve using the principles of art and design to determine what’s in harmony with your natural self. No matter what you look like, this methodology will help you find what works effortlessly on you

I had an amazing experience with Rachel! I did the color analysis and body line combo and it was great. Rachel clearly knows her stuff, and she really made the process collaborative so that I could learn and better understand what she was doing and why. She would ask my opinion on things and explain her thinking. She is not just trying to quickly... put you in a category, she really takes her time and considers all possibilities in figuring out your season. I wasn't really sure what to expect from the body line analysis but found that incredibly helpful as well. I have been struggling with my style and how best to dress/what to look for in clothes, makeup, nail polish, etc. since the pandemic and I feel so much more confident and empowered now. I am actually excited to dress FOR my body and skin-tone, and less worried about viewing certain things as imperfections or flaws. What I learned in the sessions allowed me to confirm/explain a lot of things I already had gut instincts about (i.e. "this doesn't look right but I can't figure out why"), which is going to make life so much easier going forward! Rachel is really observant and I felt like she got to know me by the end of the appointment and it was overall very personalized. This was totally worth the money, highly recommend! Also, her studio space is just lovely and the instructions/parking were clear and easy to more
I had a very positive experience with Rachel! I had a combo color & body line analysis done a few days ago & it was great! We first have an overview chat & she walked me through the entire process (color theory, etc.). We then moved on to the draping process which was my favorite part (so fun!). We then finished up with color practice & the... body line analysis. Rachel was very thorough in her explanations & observations. She answered all my questions & gave me plenty of time to take notes. Would highly recommend! Come with lots of questions & samples from your own wardrobe/make-up bag for hands on learning!read more
I had an excellent experience with Rachel! I decided to get my PCA done, as I have just started wearing hijab and wanted to make sure I was wearing the right colors. I felt very welcome at Rachel’s studio. A private room was available, and I felt very comfortable. Rachel was thorough and made the experience so much fun! Thank you so much Rachel!

Color Analysis Review:So you hear the term ‘color analysis’ all over social media, you kind of know what it is but there are so many opinions and articles about it. I’m so glad my friend referred me to Rachel to clear it all up because it literally does take specialized training to understand it all.Her scheduling was prompt and the... instructions from what to wear to how to park made me feel at ease.Rachel spent over 4 hours with me not only draping, but explaining how everything works with charts, examples, and tools. It’s clear to me now that color analysis is a marriage of method and art, and not a lot of people can do both. If you’re intimidated by all of this stuff like I was, I would highly suggest going to see Rachel because she is a kind person and a hugely talented analyst and artist. You get a ton of resources and links when you’re done.On top of that, she made me feel like my features were beautiful and unique instead of awkward and masculine like I thought. Now I can wear less makeup because my colors bring out the best parts of my face. If I want to play with makeup, I know exactly what to get. Clothes shopping is easier and less overwhelming. $500 is literally nothing by compared to the thousands of dollars and hours I’ve spent on the wrong stuff without knowing more

Rachel was an absolute pleasure!! Her extensive knowledge and ability to explain the complex science behind color theory was impressive alone. Proceeding with the analysis process was eye opening and genuinely fun! I read the reviews and went in with high expectations. I was expecting to be let down as there was no way my expectations were attainable- I was wrong. Rachel was professional, detailed and patient. After almost 4 hours, I was exhausted- but Rachel persisted and made sure I understood my results. I arrived a confused autumn (from an old color me... beautiful analysis)- feeling like my wardrobe was bland and not doing anything for me. I didn’t understanding why. By the time we finished the incredibly thorough analysis, I left a true spring-with the warmth of autumn but adding the vibrancy I was missing. My session provided me with more than a color palette. I received an education on color like I never have before. I am not a person who understands color well, but I can now use my pallet to find colors that work for me.I am very pleased with the process and highly recommend it- I am sure the savings from buying things that are slightly wrong- (too cool or to muted for me) , will more than cover the cost of the session. I will say I was suprised at the makeup recommendations. I never liked bright makeup, but I’m going to give it a try. They say looks don’t matter, but when I look good, I feel good. I just want to be the best me I can. Thanks Rachel, for giving me guidance not rules, information not a lecture and helping me smile. It was a fun way to spend a few more
I recently went to Rachel for both a PCA and BLA. I have always been interested in color, however I knew having an analysis in person would be the best way to accurately type---so I sought out someone to do the job. Rachel is initially very gentle, but as the day goes on her personality and subtle humor pops out and makes the entire process very... fascinating and fun. Before the analysis, I had my own theory on my color, assuming I was a muted cool toned girl, perhaps a Summer, since those are the colors I favor and tend to buy.Upon the first swatch flip, I immediately knew that would NOT be the case, as the contrast difference between grey and black made my features pop! It was so interesting, and Rachel definitely emphasizes with great accuracy how the colors interact with you features and the difference, even minute, some colors have on you.To my great surprise I left being typed as a Bright Winter, quite literally the only type I swore I would NOT be. BRIGHT, SATURATED colors? Noooooooooooo, where is my muted grey-toned rainbow... gone. I asked for a comparison just as a last goodbye, between my assigned winter palette and my assumed summer palette, and the difference was alarming. I learned that even though I LOVE a color, doesn't mean I will look good in it, and I think that is the biggest takeaway one can gain from PCA.Since then I've been more open to trying these alarmingly bright colors, and have tried in small ways to incorporate the brights into my wardrobe. I wore fuchsia eyeshadow the next day (unheard of for me), and received so many compliments, even ones not related to my makeup, just overall appearance. Is this magic? Maybe. At the very least it's super curious to see how others react when I wear my "best" colors.I do think Rachel is very skilled and passionate about color analysis and fashion. She has an arsenal of terms and clearly understands the wide breadth of fashion; how one style can manifest positively on one person, and fail on the next.I left feeling confident in my own unique style, and that my newfound knowledge would only help to fine tune my personal style. Def recommend if you want to commit to owning your own best qualities and make more conscious decisions. Thanks Rach!read more
My experience with Rachel was amazing! It was very impressive to see the difference in you face and vibes when different colors are on you. Rachel was very detailed and walk me through everything as she was doing the draping. I also did a body line analysis which was very helpful and after our appointment she sent a lot of resources. This was... totally worthy! Supper recommended if you want to learn more about yourself. Come with questions!read more

I had the Personal Color Analysis and the Body Line Analysis done at the same time with Rachel, and I'm so happy I did! I booked a personal color analysis with Rachel in March 2024. She is so knowledgeable and professional, and you can tell she has a real passion for what she does. She very thoroughly went through all the drapes and explained her reasoning for each color test. After we identified my season, we walked through make-up, hair and jewelry... recommendations. This new knowledge has made me so much more intentional when I am shopping. It has given me the courage to part with some pieces in my wardrobe that have always felt "off", and experiment with new colors that I wouldn't have thought to try on or pair together. My friend and I were able to book our appointments in the same day, and it was so fun and eye opening to go through the experience together. I had my personal color analysis done with Rachel two weeks ago and it was such a great experience. She explained everything so well and answered any questions I had during and after the draping session. She showed me my best makeup colors, told me what my best hair color would be, and even what metals for jewelry would suit me best. I love that I... also got a color fan for my season so I can take it with me when I go shopping for new clothes. If you’re thinking of getting a personal color analysis, I highly recommend more
I had a really excellent color analysis with Rachel. I was looking for someone to help me understand my colors and their application to makeup and clothes. I have walked away armed with helpful information and tools! This was a great investment. Future me won’t worry if an lipstick purchase will look clownish or wonder why a beautiful dress on the... rack looks so off on me. I can revisit colors I had written off, because now I know which color features to look for! Instead of splurging on a dress right now, book a session. It’ll pay more more

I actually went into my color combination having a guess as to what my season was but no idea "why". And ultimately that "why" was the biggest value I got out of the color consultation. The session actually starts with Rachel walking through the process of figuring out the season, and then you collaboratively do it together, which gives you a... great first-hand look and practice at how colors change how you look. You then get additional practice afterwards with makeup / color swatches that reinforces what you've just learned. My original guess as to my own season was right, but even if I had been SURE what my season was beforehand I would do it anyways just for the skill building and the "why" behind it. I've used these skills every time I go shopping afterwards and it's made a huge difference. It's exciting to find colors that I never thought I could wear!read more

Had such a great experience with Rachel getting my personal color analysis done! I wanted to get an understanding of what colors work best for me and she absolutely delivered. Rachel walked me through every step of the process and shared her thoughts out loud with every color swatch that went on me, sharing specifics on why or why not each color... worked. Although the weather was not on our side the day of my appointment Rachel was still able to see me. First off Rachel is amazing she's very knowledgable, friendly and easy to talk to. She answered all my questions and helped me understand the entire personal color analysis concept and how to apply it in everyday life. This appointment was... everything I hoped for and more. It gave me the clarity I wanted/needed when it comes to my wardrobe, hair color, jewelry and makeup especially since I am someone who loves to express myself through those things. After you you are finished with the appointment Rachel provides plenty of resources so you don't have to worry about memorizing everything and gives you a cute travel size palette so you can take it on the go when shopping. I would 100% recommend this especially as a gift to someone and even for anyone getting married since you would be surprised how many shades of white there are. Rachel spent SIX hours analyzing my colors and style archetype. She was the expert I needed at this point of my color journey - someone who would take the time to explain each step in detail and be willing to go through yet one more comparison to help me feel confident as a Dark Autumn Sophisticate. I did end up joining her Online Style Club,... which is a very good thing as I already have a ton of (new) questions as I attempt to put my learnings into practice. I feel confident that Rachel will have the expertise to answer these questions and help me continue on my way to a better curated wardrobe and more striking personal style. Imagine that you are tasked with decorating a log cabin. What kinds of furnishings would you look for? 🤔

I’m guessing that you would probably choose something rustic and organic looking with a casual and cozy vibe, regardless of your preferences in interior décor. 🏠 🌲

On the other hand, I doubt you will have chosen hyper-modern furnishings made of metal and molded plastic fit for a black tie affair. Possibly there’s an interior decorator somewhere who could make that look fabulous, but the easiest and most logical choice would be to furnish a log cabin like…a log cabin. 👍

Not only does this create an incredibly harmonious and attractive end result with
minimal training and effort required, it also allows us to capitalize off of the best elements of the log cabin that are already there without having to create some new appeal from scratch.

If you haven’t guessed, the log cabin in need of the right decor is a metaphor for a person
in need of the right clothing. 👗 👠 👜

So what is an Image Archetype? 🤔

A lot of people have heard of Image Archetypes or Kibbe body types, but don’t really understand what they are. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Essentially, it’s a combination of shape, line, scale, and proportion that creates a conceptual style in reference to your body.
The quickest, easiest, most effective way to dress a person is to dress them to look like themselves.

So just as we have styles such as Mid-Century Modern or Colonial in architecture, in fashion we have Image Archetypes.💃🏻

There are 10 Image Archetypes divided into 5 categories: Dramatics, Naturals, Classics, Gamines, Romantics.

What if, humor me here, that thing about your body- you know the thing. The thing you're up googling how to get rid of at 3 AM.
The double dip hip or the cellulite on your butt or your limp hair or your left eyelid that's slightly lower than the right... ___
What if instead of being a curse uniquely visited upon you by the gods, what if it was just totally ordinary? Just an absolutely regular feature of human beings that doesn't mean anything at all. Nothing to write home about, no action required.
I'm probably wrong but... what if I'm not?
